Terms of Service

Last updated: April 8, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Playlistly ("the Service"), including our Telegram bot and associated web pages, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Third-Party Services

Playlistly integrates with third-party services. By using the Service, you also agree to:

3. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service. By using Playlistly, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Description of Service

Playlistly is a free Telegram bot that enables groups to collaboratively curate YouTube playlists through a democratic voting system. Users can propose YouTube videos; if the group approves by the configured vote threshold, the video is automatically added to a connected YouTube playlist. The Service requires a one-time OAuth authorization with Google to access and manage your YouTube playlists on your behalf.

5. User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems or networks.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to exploit the Service beyond its intended purpose.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Propose, vote on, or otherwise promote content that is illegal, harmful, or violates YouTube's Community Guidelines.

6. YouTube API Compliance

Playlistly uses the YouTube API Services. Your use of Playlistly is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. You retain responsibility for the content you add to your YouTube playlists through Playlistly. Playlistly does not endorse any specific content and is not responsible for content added via the Service.

You can revoke Playlistly's access to your YouTube account at any time via your Google account permissions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-submitted content and third-party content), is owned by Playlistly and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Third-Party Links and Content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (including YouTube). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of these external sites. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We make no warranties regarding the availability of specific YouTube content or the successful execution of any playlist operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Playlistly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service — which is zero, as the Service is provided free of charge.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Playlistly and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice — including for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing Playlistly from your Telegram group and revoking Google OAuth access via your Google account permissions.

13. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, in a competent court of the applicable jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
